Visitor,
I am
welcoming you to the unique Museum of
Pens, Seals/Stamps, Inkpot, etc.
The
history of this private collection and its
further development into a museum has as
follows:
It
was November 1998, my birthday. Among the
presents I got there was a pen. This
present filled my with joy because pens were
my weakness.
With the passing of time the more I studied
the various kinds of pens my interest
started to become more serious and I was
selective in my . Finally the idea came to
my mind to acquire rare and extraordinary
kinds of pens.
I
started buying pens in restricted number. Later
the my great interest led me to enriching my
collection with rare items of pens and office
items, like Dip Pens – Victorian Pencils –
Vintage Pens – Inkpots – Seals/Stamps etc.
Given
the big number of pens in my possession I
thought of the possibility of creating a Museum
with the above items. With the choice of this
properly arranged space, my dream came true.
With
your visit to his Museum you will travel back in
time. To times the pen was a very important item
for people of letters. It was a relationship of
ownership, of a strict one but also romantic and
personal.
The Museum Vladimiros Ouloupis Niros (V.O.N.) is
unique in its kind.
Its uniqueness consist of the fact that the
visitor will meet a variety of various pens of
various companies manufacturing pens which date
back much earlier than the 17th
century and not only that. Some items are
unique in the world.
In the Museum there are over 500 items. Each one
of them has its own story. For those who would
like to study this story there is a reading room
with rare books for each kind.
Concluding, I would like to thank you for your
visit to the V.O.N. web site. |
